Lincoln Recovery Center will admit patients regardless of ethnicity, nationality, religion, ability to pay, HIV-AIDS status, prior treatment status, referral source, maintenance on methadone or other medication, pregnancy, criminal justice contact, physical or mental disability, or lack of cooperation by significant others in treatment.

An individual who appears at the outpatient service seeking or having been referred for treatment or evaluation shall have an initial determination made and documented in a written record by a qualified health professional, or other clinical staff under the supervision of a qualified health professional, which states the following:

1. That the individual appears to be in need of chemical dependency services.
2. That the individual appears to be free of serious communicable disease that can be transmitted through ordinary contact.
3. That the individual appears to be not in need of acute hospital care, acute psychiatric care, or other intensive services which cannot be provided in conjunction with outpatient care or would prevent him/her from participating in a chemical dependency service.

If an individual is determined to be appropriate for chemical dependence services, a level of care determination shall be made by a clinical staff member who shall be provided clinical oversight by a qualified health professional (a social worker or physician). The level of care determination shall be signed and dated by the clinical staff member. The level of care determination shall be made promptly and in no event not later than 2 visits to the service.

To be admitted for outpatient services, the individual must: (1) be determined to be able to achieve or maintain abstinence and recovery goals with the application of outpatient services; or (2) be a significant other who manifests psychological, behavioral and/or emotional effects arising from another individual’s chemical abuse or dependency
